School and all that.

So yeah...school school school. It wouldnt be so bad if my grades weren't that bad. *rolls eyes* Ah well...for the most part I enjoy it. I've been going to a school for cartoon animation and illustration. I'm pretty physched about it.

All right so anyone who reads this, I need some advice. I wanna make a flash movie, and I'm pretty decent and I got the opening scene down. The only prob is, I don't have a character. I'm looking for somthing that's going to be memorable and a character that people are gonna remember. Any suggestions? What kind of character is it? I'm looking at somthing perferably mythical, or animal. I hate drawing humans. Animating one would be hell.

So yeah. That's all for now.

for the animation, ive seen some of your art and i think you should just look around NG for inspiration or lack thereof. if you find what you think is a hole, fill it up. (if your having trouble, you could do something cool with lizarfolk or dragonfolk, but thats just my opinion.) also you need to practise simplifying your drawings, so you don't finish the thing in 2010. I hope the idea was helpfull, and feel free to respond.

Draconianspirit responds:

lol XD yeah I know I tend to put too much detail into my drawings, but I've learned to simlify things in flash. So I don't think that'll be too much a prob. I had orginally planned to do somthing with dragons, but that was going to be for later submissions when I became more adept at flash.

Thanks for your comment ^^ I appreciate it.

well... animatin a good animal can be tough too.
if you haven't seen bitey (waterlollies is his newest) he's kinda mythical without being a complete animal.
don't copy, of course...
VVeasy 2 animateVV
exaggerated features, using or breaking stereotypes, simple + stylized defining lines... those can help make a good character.

: i'm in your deviant, commentin ur picturz.

Draconianspirit responds:

Yes I HAVE seen all of the Bitey of Brackenwood series, and it's part of the reason why I started an NG account, because I was inspired by it so much ^^ And thank you! I'll read your comments soon ^^ Really appreciated.

ah yes, everyone wants a character, in fact, i have the same problem.
if you have a character, you can use it to base other ideas off.

as for inspiriation, i suggest you look into the thinks you ultimatley will enjoy drawing/animating.

but hey, who am i to say this? i dont even have a character!

Draconianspirit responds:

lol! but it's a good idea, and I think I'll use your suggestion ^^ thanks, and good luck in finding a character.
